Pinhais

The municipality of Pinhais celebrated 32 years of emancipation on March 20, 2024. Until 1992, Pinhais belonged to Piraquara, and it has since transformed into one of the youngest and most promising municipalities in Paraná. Recognized as one of the best cities for investment, it holds the 11th largest economy in the state and ranks 188th nationwide. It is the smallest municipality in the state in terms of territorial size, with an area of 60.92 km². It is also the municipality closest to downtown Curitiba, located approximately 9 km from the state capital. Pinhais boasts a privileged and strategic location, offering easy and fast access to interstate highways and quick connections to the Afonso Pena and Bacacheri airports. It serves as a gateway to two of the country’s major ports: Antonina (73 km) and Paranaguá (92 km). According to IBGE data (2022), Pinhais has 127,019 inhabitants and is one of the most developed cities in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba and the state of Paraná.
