The territory partially covers the Igua\u00e7u, Ribeira, and Coastal hydrographic basins, where the Ira\u00ed, Piraquara, Capivari, and Miringuava dams are located, which are responsible for supplying more than 3 million people. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>This hydrological network is formed by rivers and tributaries of great importance\u2014such as the Igua\u00e7u, Piraquara, Ira\u00ed, Pequeno, and Miringuava rivers\u2014which, in addition to ensuring water security, create a landscape of remarkable natural beauty. The Igua\u00e7u Falls originate from this region. These environments support a rich diversity of fauna and flora, including areas of Araucaria Forest, a threatened ecosystem and a symbol of southern Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>The Portal stands out as a destination for nature tourism, offering diverse routes for cycling, mountaineering, birdwatching, waterfall visits, water sports, and hiking. The strong presence of rural communities, local producers, and traditional communities makes the region a fertile territory for rural and community-based
